colonoscopy prep options


I just took another Ducolax and I’m taking another in an hour. June 9 2020…Prep was several hours of drinking a gallon of PEG fluids..sweet and salty..no problem getting it down just had to keep at it every 15 minutes…I had to run to bathroom several times and barely made it but I knew this to would pass…I was not hungry at all…I had one down of chicken broth all day and lots of water…Just got home from my colonoscopy…it was great…a simple IV in arm…questions about general health…blood pressure checked and heart rhythm…I was wheeled into the ROOM…my doctor greeted me warmly…I turned on my side and the anesthesiologist said he was turning on the sleepy meds…I was out and woke up rested and given cold apple juice…so nice…left and ate scrambled eggs…I am good to go for another 5 years…last time I had several polyps that had to be removed….I am so thankful this was done…yes it is a pain to drink a gallon of PEG liquid but you can do it…what is one day of being uncomfortable verses the possibility of COLON CANCER…my grandmother had it…not fun…I am almost 70 years old now and this is very important to me. This is my second colonoscopy (I had polyps). Hope that one slice doesn’t negate my procedure. I’m eaten orange popsicles only. Will it be a “waste of time”? By 9ish there was nothing left.
